Roofs for Troops: A GAF Rebate for Those Who Served

The GAF Roofs for Troops program exists to honor active members, honorably discharged veterans, and retirees of the U.S. military, and as a Veteran Owned company, we take particular pride in helping fellow service members claim what they’ve earned.

At F&M Services Group Inc, we understand the program from the inside out because we live the values behind it. Military families know the meaning of duty, reliability, and doing a job right the first time. Those same principles guide every roof we install. When you choose us to install your GAF system, you’re working with a contractor who is GAF Certified, Fortified Roof Certified, and part of the NC Roof Program, which means your rebate eligibility is handled by a team that meets the manufacturer’s strictest standards.

Who Qualifies and What the Rebate Covers

Eligibility centers on you being a Qualifying Individual: an active military member, an honorably discharged veteran, or a retiree who is a legal resident of the United States. The roof must be installed on a U.S. residence you own, with installation completed within the program’s eligible calendar window. The rebate is limited to one per Qualifying Individual and one per address, so coordinating your installation correctly matters.

The rebate hinges on pairing a qualifying GAF roofing system with one of three Enhanced Warranty tiers. Each tier requires GAF shingles plus a specific number of qualifying GAF accessory products:

  • System Plus Limited Warranty: GAF shingles plus 3 qualifying GAF accessory products, installed by a GAF Master Elite, Certified Plus, or Certified Contractor.
  • Silver Pledge Limited Warranty: GAF shingles plus 4 qualifying GAF accessory products, installed by a GAF Master Elite or Certified Plus Contractor.
  • Golden Pledge Limited Warranty: GAF shingles plus 5 qualifying GAF accessory products, installed by a GAF Master Elite Contractor.

Qualifying accessory products generally include ridge cap shingles, attic ventilation, starter strip shingles, roof deck protection, and leak barrier. The exact combination depends on the warranty tier you select, and we walk you through those choices during your initial consultation so nothing is left to guesswork.

How the Rebate Process Works With Us

One of the most important details is timing. Your Enhanced Warranty must be registered by your contractor within forty-five days of installation, and the completed rebate claim form must be received within ninety days of the warranty issuance date. Missing those windows means forfeiting the rebate. Because we register warranties promptly and keep clear records of every job, you avoid the common pitfalls that cause claims to be rejected for being late, incomplete, or illegible.

Here is how a typical Roofs for Troops project unfolds when you work with our crew. We confirm your status as a Qualifying Individual, evaluate your existing roof, and recommend a GAF system matched to your home and your chosen warranty tier. After installation, we register the Enhanced Warranty with GAF, then help you assemble and submit the rebate documentation. We always advise keeping copies of everything you submit, since GAF reserves the right to audit claims and is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail. Rebate checks are typically issued several weeks after a valid claim is received.

Coastal Roofing That Goes Beyond the Rebate

The rebate is a welcome bonus, but the real value is a roof engineered to withstand the demanding conditions of the Outer Banks. Salt air, high humidity, driving rain, and hurricane-force winds all test a roofing system year after year. Our Fortified Roof Certification means we install to standards specifically designed to resist wind uplift and water intrusion, while GAF’s layered system, from leak barrier and roof deck protection to properly balanced attic ventilation, protects your home from the deck up.

We serve military homeowners and veterans across Outer Banks, NC, bringing over 26 years of combined experience in roofing, restoration, and insurance loss consulting. Whether you’re a retiree settling into a coastal home, an active-duty member stationed nearby, or a veteran investing in long-term protection, we deliver personal and professional service using superior building products. “One Call Does It All” is more than a slogan for us. It reflects our commitment to handling your roofing project, your warranty registration, and your rebate paperwork as a single, streamlined experience.

If you’ve served, you’ve earned this benefit. Let F&M Services Group Inc help you claim it while protecting the home you’ve worked so hard to provide for your family. Contact us to schedule your inspection and start the process today.
